India in finals

With India’s dominant bowling performance, India has stepped into the final of the Women’s Asia Cup. India won the recent match against Bangladesh, initially led by Renuka Singh  Thakur and completed by Radha Yadav. Renuka took 3 wickets for 10 runs in the power play, meanwhile, Radha took 3 wickets in for runs showcasing a strong finish to the match. India restricted Bangladesh to 80/8 in 20 overs. Bangladesh couldn’t build any significant partnership and were struggling throughout their inning to increase their score.

India’s Performance:

Bowling:

• Renuka’s consistent strikes restricted and dominated them, the team seems to be in trouble as they lost some major early wickets in the powerplay. Lost 3 wickets for 25 runs.
• During the middle overs, Indian bowlers didn’t show leniency and were keeping it tight which made it further difficult to make runs for Bangladesh. They only managed to score 24 runs while consistently losing wickets. 
• In the Death overs, bangladesh managed to add just 31 runs, with Radha Yadav ensuring wickets. She dominated well and gave no chance to score freely.

Batting:

• It became very easy for the Indian batters to chase the target easily as the score was very low. 
• Indian openers- Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma chased down the target with ease. According to the reports, India only needed 11 overs to chase the target down. 
• Smriti Mandhana with her excellent bowling skills led the chase briskly, hitting multiple boundaries and securing 55 runs off 38 balls. 
• Shefali Verma supported well with 26 runs. Both of them secured runs with ease.
• The partnership of Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana was just outstanding as always. 
• During the powerplay, India got off to a quick start, scoring 46 runs without losing any wickets. Both the openers hit boundaries one after another. 

Mandhana was the star of the match as she hit her fifty with several sixes and fours and that too with ease.

Outcome:

India won by 10 wickets against Bangladesh. 

Bangladesh set the target at 80/8 in 20 overs.

India managed to chase down the target in 11 overs with 10 wickets in hand.
