India Tour Of Sri Lanka 2024 | SL vs IND
India will tour Sri Lanka for the T20 and the ODI series in late July and the starting week of August. The schedule of the series has been released. The three-day T20 men’s series will begin this month, with the first match scheduled for Friday, 26th July.
The second T20 match of the series will be on Saturday 27th of July and the final match will be on Monday, 29th of July. The timings for all the matches will be 7 in the evening. The T20 series will be played in Pallekele.
Senior players- Rohit, Virat, and Bumrah will not be a part of the series and will be on rest. Players will join the team in September during the Bangladesh tour of India. All-rounder Hardik Pandya will lead the team in the T20 Internationals against Srilanka. As a coach, the newly appointed head coach, Gautam Gambhir will have his first assignment. The majority of players playing in the India tour of Zimbabwe are likely to be featured in the series.
Just after the T20 matches, the team will tighten their belts for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka. The three-day ODI series between India and Sri Lanka will commence from 1st August 2024. The second match of the series is scheduled for 4th August and the final match will be on 7th August. Colombo will host the matches and the matches will be played at R Premadasa Stadium in Columbo.
