IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans (ITT) will face Dindigul Dragons (DD) in Qualifier 2 of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2024 on Friday, August 2, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans finished second on the points table following the tournament’s round-robin phase, with four wins and three losses in seven games. They lost to Lyca Kovai Kings in Qualifier 1 after failing to defend a 201-run objective. Sai Sudharsan’s unbeaten 123 off 56 balls helped the Kings win comfortably with seven wickets and as many balls remaining.

Meanwhile, Dindigul Dragons finished fourth on the points table at the end of the league stage, with four victories and three losses but a net run rate (NRR) of +0.109, compared to +0.677 for Tamizhans. Dindigul defeated Chepauk Super Gillies in the Eliminator with four wickets and one ball in hand, scoring 159 runs. Skipper Ravichandran Ashwin was named Player of the Match after scoring 57 off 35 balls while batting at number three.

Earlier this season, Dindigul defeated Tiruppur by eight wickets in a rain-shortened 13-over per side match, chasing down a 109-run goal with seven balls remaining.
