The first T20I of the three-match series is scheduled on Friday, 28th August at the Old Trafford, Manchester. On one hand, where Pakistan will resume their T20 game 8 months after playing against Bangladesh in January 2020, England will feature in a T20I encounter straight after the series against South Africa in November 2019.
Pitch and Playing Conditions
There have not been too many high scoring encounters at the Old Trafford and any score in the range of 160-170 has been par.
Teams
Pakistan
The top three will be assisted by Shoaib Malik, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, and all-rounder Shadab Khan in the middle-order. And given his recent Man-of-the-series performance in the Test series, Mohammad Rizwan might pip Sarfaraz Khan to find his spot in the playing XI.
England
England has a plethora of all-rounders in their middle-order in alongside skipper Eoin Morgan. Sam Billings will be followed by Tom Curran whereas given Manchester’s track record of helping the spinners, all-rounder Moeen Ali will be in contention for sure.
