Highlights of the match
Trent Rocket’s impressive batting:
Trent Rockets batted first and hit boundaries again and again. The openers scored 44 runs in the powerplay before Adam Lyth was dismissed.
Tom Banton and Sam Hain had a significant partnership, they both added 65 runs from just 36 balls. Baton scored a quick 66 from 27 balls, while Hain contributed 49 runs from 28 balls.
Apart from this Chris Green had A powerful powerplay where he scored 25 including three sixes. Trent Rockets reached a total of 185 for 5.
In response, Ollie Robinson and Graham Clark pushed to six fours and a six during the powerplay but Clark was soon bowled out clearly for 17 (12) by Imad Wasim, and the floodgates opened.
A diving Green magnificently caught supercharger skipper Short at long-on. Robinson was trapped in front by a Green off-break, and when Green removed Hose and Nicholas Pooran, the Superchargers were languishing on 62 for 5.
Green’s perfect night was complete with a smart run-out of Clark, and despite some spirited late-order hitting from Potts and Dwarshuis, the Rockets ran out comfortable winners.
Green was the standout performer, excelling with both bat and ball. He also contributed to this smart run-out
Green, who returns to Australia after the game, was the Meerkat Match Hero: “That was a lot of fun, my first taste of The Hundred. Short and sweet! I was told to go out and give it a whack and luckily it was my night to have some fun with the bat. I got good info from the other batters who’d done a great job up top.
